“And the Oscar goes to…” It was a great night for Redland at the 2017 Urban Land Institute’s Impact Award ceremony as company president, Chris Pangburn, presented the Innovation award to winners, INDUSTRY.
Over 400 of the Denver development community’s elite filled the United Club Level at Sports Authority Field to celebrate the new projects that have defined and shaped the city of Denver. Awards were presented in four categories: Infill, Innovation, Influence, and Inspire.
To present the Innovation award, Redland president, Chris Pangburn, took the stage. He began by sharing why Redland chose to sponsor the Innovation category. Indeed, as a company that prides itself on pushing the envelope when it comes to design, this category was a perfect fit with the Redland culture of “creating great places”. When it comes to innovation, Redland’s mission is simply to put together a team of great people, support them, provide opportunity for development, and then “get out of their way”. This has culminated with 9 years of taking visions and committing to deliver tangible designs.
Closing his speech by announcing the three nominees, INDUSTRY was announced as the winner of the award. The Innovation Award celebrates projects that push the envelope in design and function. INDUSTRY is doing exactly that. As one of the “Founding Fathers” of the trending RiNo neighborhood, INDUSTRY is catalyzing corporate America by grouping all scales of company under one roof to create a collaborative environment that accelerates innovation. The winners took the stage to share some words and accept their custom-made trophy.
At Redland, it is important for us to see these types of projects; it inspires us to push the envelope ourselves to produce innovative solutions that allow us to stay on the cutting edge of design. We are dedicated to the development community and to the Urban Land Institute. We are proud to be sponsoring the Innovation category and will be presenting at the next ceremony in 2019!
