Last month, a small group of Redlanders visited Sterling Ranch for an up-close look at the construction of Filing 7A. Sterling Ranch is located in Douglas County just south of Highlands Ranch, minutes away from Roxborough and Chatfield State Park. Sterling Ranch Filing 7A was designed by Redland’s Civil Engineering team along with previous filings, and this site visit allowed our associates to observe their designs in action.
The civil design team led the group through the construction site, stopping at newly installed utilities, a detention facility and streets. Each stop provided a discussion on design choices and the challenges that must be overcome when working on a large project. The group was able to see their design work while analyzing its implementation. This practice generates feedback we can use for future projects.
The new addition of Sterling Ranch will include more than 500 new homes and 80 acres of open space. With site construction underway, home construction will begin in early 2025. If you would like to learn more about Redland’s work on Sterling Ranch, you can click HERE.
